I'm having trouble scheduling jobs in the job shop I work in. We basically just take the jobs as we get them and then create the piece, but I know that this is not the most efficient way of doing things. Can Simcad help me develop an optimal schedule so that I'm sure we're producing at our highest possible capacity?
Yes. Simcad will allow you to upload your jobs for the day into the simulation. It will then generate an optimal schedule in Gantt chart format that you can use to ensure you're maintaining the optimal level of production each day. You can also use the model to forecast and solve problems that will occur throughout the day. You can see an example of Simcad uploading data to produce a schedule for a job shop here: View Job Shop Lean Simulation Video Edited by moderator Monday, June 15, 2015 11:40:24 AM(UTC)
