One thing to keep in mind is that Flexsim shows the pretty picture and downplays what it takes to get accurate models. To actually create an accurate model you will be spending a lot of time coding or paying a consultant to do the simulation work for you. This is due to the inherent nature of their simulation engine. When creating a model in flexsim's user interface you are actually generating code and then to make that process flow accurately reflect your operation you will need to go into the code and modify it as needed. Here are some examples of very simple and basic functionality and the coding requirements that as a simulation user I would find unacceptable. Note, all of this is integrated functionality in Simcad Pro's interactive dynamic simulation environment. There really is no comparison between flexsim and Simcad Pro from an ease-of-use and integrated analysis and optimization perspective. And the list goes on and on.... It really is amazing to me that the simplest tasks require so much work. Edited by moderator Tuesday, June 16, 2015 10:41:30 AM(UTC)
