This tutorial will walk through the settings for enabling the creation of objects using a custom arrival rate as well as using the scenario analysis in conjunction with Monte Carlo simulation

In this tutorial you will learn how to scale the grid space in Simcad Pro to mimic that of real space. By using an image you will be able to measure the current distance between two points and use that to scale the grid up so the distance represents what the actual space does.

This tutorial will show you the benefits of using Results Processes along with Data graphs and Scenario Sets. These features are great to use when needing to compare different scenarios side by side, Simcad Pro will let you graph any tracked variable to get a direct comparison. By using the Dynamic Data Graphs you’ll be able to graph the current simulation run, but creating a Scenario Set with multiple scenarios will enable you to compare multiple runs at once.

This tutorial will show you how to build an assembly line model that uses a variable to control when containers of parts will be released and brought to a hold where it can then be used at the assembly stations throughout the line. In this model a bicycle will be the main assembly object, running through two different lanes this object will pick up part one at a time. This will require an extra step in the assembly process, along with the requesting of more parts when the holds become low on parts. The same can be done with an internal database, and allow for greater control and tracking of variables.

This tutorial video will go over how to set Setup times for different parts entering a process, the best way to set this up is with different objects. Setup times can account for many things and is separate from loading and unloading, for instance changing drill bits for a different product at the same machine. This model reflects a manufacturing situation in which many different parts are allowed to go to any machine process and then will be switched to only go to a specific machine process. This will have an impact on production times and rate per day/hour/minute as the sequence of parts being fed into the machines will play an important role.
