In this part we will explore the statistics and analysis portion of the software. We will use graphs to analyze results and see how changes to the simulation affect statistics and results. Read more
This part deals with variables and object definition. Flow properties and object routing are also further defined here. The simulation will be further expanded with new processes. We will also continue to assign variables and further tune the process flow. Read more
In this part we will fix the bottle neck at the waiting room and optimize the flow of the patients from the waiting room to the other parts of the clinic. We will also expand the simulation and make it easier to see, as well as start looking at statistics. Read more
Here we will define the different types of patients that will flow through the model. Each of the patient types takes a different amount of time to process. This will allow us to simulate the clinic having to deal with more than one type of patient. We will also work with the timing of the simulation to ensure that the patients flow correctly through the clinic.
- Select Procedure Room1 and 2 (by holding down Ctrl and clicking) and open their properties. Click Process Timing Properties and change time units to minutes. Fill out the table as shown:
In this part, we will deal with object routing in all parts of the simulation. The way objects move between processes will also be further defined. We will also create processes and build a model of the Pre/Post Room department.
- Run the simulation.Open the properties of Waiting Room. Click Process/Object/Condition Routing.
- Check the box Process Based Routing. Fill out the table as shown:
